Conversion rate is way more complex than you think
It is one the most oversimplified and harder to track metrics.
What people think will boost conversion:
→ Pretty site
→ Funny copy
→ Make my logo bigger
→ Fancy animations
While those things count, what I've learned has the biggest impact:
→ Traffic source
→ Type of traffic
→ Clear and concise copy
→ Particular interests of visitors
→ Where they are in the purchasing journey
→ Whether they have visited your site before
→ Whether they have bought something similar before
→ The price of what you sell compared to your competitors
→ Whether the flow of information matches their expectations
→ A well thought-out offer that solves a real problem at a fraction of what it costs them to do nothing
